Finishing work at 12:00PM tomorrow, 2 and a half hour drive to Wales and I'm there, looking forward to ale by the campfire, beguiling my interlocutors with tall tales of all the times I've been shot up.:happydance:

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Holding a 6 at the mo going to 11 when I get there on the morrow when I set camp, fire up the chainsaw then sit down to a beer or 2 if not needed to set up site.
Been waiting to play here since Josh's last WW2 gig.

As if nothing else could go wrong. I have just learned that tomorrow morning we will be getting a visit from head office in the US and my whole plan hinged upon wearing all my gear to get to work tomorrow so that after work I can change back into it for the train journey. Now I have 2 options: Arrive extra early for work after finishing at 1am tonight, so that I am changed into work clothes when they arrive. Alternatively I could load myself down with even more clothing and carry everything in a rucksack which will be more uncomfortable and unwieldy than webbing and make it impossible to cycle to the station so it becomes harder to catch my train.

Russell, would it make your life easier if I brought a Sten for you to use?

So very very sad I'm not making it to this one - first Candleston event I've not attended
Such a great site, such good nights.

No, the sten packs fairly small and the packing is finalised. What I need is a nice 9-5 job where I can get the weekends off and where if I ask for a day off 3 months beforehand...
